He believes his photography is heavily influenced by traditional artistic techniques and many of his images employ those techniques. Much of his work includes the use of construction as the final display of his work is very much a important part of the pieces entourage. He is currently working on a series of images which will be encapsulated in clear resin. This series employs the use of a microscopy and topography reversing all that seems normal. He is always considering artistic commissions for gallery or private display. (Art) is both the taking and giving of beauty; the turning out to the light the inner folds of the awareness of the spirit. It is the recreation on another plane of the realities of the world; the tragic and wonderful realities of earth and men, and of all the inter-relations of these. --Ansel Adams in a letter to Cedric Wright Marcus has developed his style through years of trial and error but now he has perfected many techniques, which would leave most photographers stumped. He has created a few very large exhibition pieces for galleries and permanent public display.
